Overcome employment challanges to take your first steps into work.
We know that minority ethnic communities face barriers to employment, including racism, lack of opportunities, role models and awareness of available resources.
No-One Left Behind helps people to overcome these challenges.
The programme offers coaching, learning and practical support to help people increase their confidence, knowledge and skills.
The course is delivered through 1-to-1 discussions, skills analysis, CV building, workshops, Q&A sessions with employers, job application support, mock interviews and unpaid work placements.
No-One Left behind is funded by Glasgow City Council, as part of the GEMS consortium (Glasgow Ethnic Minority Service).
Helping people from ethnic minorities to overcome barriers to employment.
The NOLB programme supports people aged 16+ who are unemployed or not in training and need help to move towards work. We support refugees, asylum seekers with the right to work, migrants, and others facing barriers.
You will receive one-on-one support from your Bridges Caseworker, who will assist you with:
• CVs and job searches
• Training and courses
• Volunteering or work placements
• Connections to employers
• Ongoing guidance
Support is flexible and tailored to each person’s goals.
The great thing about this project is that there is no time limit. We will support you at your own pace and ensure we do what suits you. We understand that life happens, and sometimes things move quickly while other times they progress a bit more slowly.
Anyone living in Glasgow who meets the criteria can be referred or self-refer. If you live outside Glasgow, you may still be eligible if you attended (or recently left) a Glasgow secondary school or are looked after by Glasgow City Council. There are many resources to help you on your journey. Your Caseworker will be able to discuss this with you. You will also have full access to our online learning platform, Canvas. This platform offers self-directed learning, providing information at your fingertips whenever needed, even after you have finished with Bridges. Any online assignments will be submitted to our Trainer for grading and feedback.
You can apply directly on our website, complete the referral form, and one of our team will contact you.
