The hong Kong Project (previously known as ‘Fresh Start’) is a highly successful programme of employability support and English language support for Hong Kongers in Glasgow.
The course includes online classes, face-to-face sessions, independent online learning and ongoing employability support after the course ends.
We explore employability topics including: writing CVs, searching for jobs, interview techniques and understanding the working environment in Scotland.
Throughout the programme we provide deep insights into various sectors, and the realities of working life in Scotland so that our learners are equipped to thrive in the job market.
More then 300 people have successfully completed the Hong Kong Project across Scotland.
The course is open to Hong Konger who have moved to Glasgow on a BN(o) visa.

Bridges Programmes overarching mission encompasses assisting all migrants, including Hongkongers who have relocated to Scotland under the British National (Overseas) (BN(O)) visa scheme.
Bridges Programmes offer various services designed to help clients build confidence, re-engage their skills, and provide training, support, advice, guidance, and work placements. These services include Employability ESOL, intensive employability training, and one-on-one mock interviews.
The course runs for six weeks, taking place Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. If needed, a dedicated caseworker and trainer can provide additional support outside of these hours. Completing the course is just the beginning—we’re here to support you every step of the way until you achieve your goals.
Don’t worry! We cover all of Scotland. Most classes are delivered online, ensuring we can reach everyone who needs our service.
You will have access to all resources as you progress through the course. You will also be added to our online learning platform, Canvas. This platform offers self-directed learning, providing you with information at your fingertips whenever you need it, even after you have finished with Bridges. Any assignments completed online will be submitted to our Trainer for grading and feedback.
